Friends of Henfield Medical Practice

The Aims of the Patient Group

Registered Charity Number: 1140280

The Friends of Henfield Medical practice Trust is a patient participation group, originally set up in 1995 by patients for patients. There is no membership - it is open to anyone who is registered with the Henfield practice, all of whom are welcome to participate in any activities of the Friends.

Aims

The main aim of the Friends is to act as a link between the practice, patients and the community, and to advance the education of health care by the provision of talks / lectures and other educational activities.

The Friends also aim to raise funds and accept donations for the purchase and maintenance of medical and other equipment, machinery and facilities for the benefit of the communities served by the practice

Contact Friends

To contact the friends by email: jandpbates@gmail.com

Please do contact them if you have any questions or would like more information about the Friends.

They particularly welcome any suggestions of topics that you would like to see covered in one of their occasional talks.

Please do also contact them if you are interested in joining the committee of the Friends and / or you are able to assist at one of the Friends events.

Please also let us know if you are considering making a donation to the Friends of Henfield Medical Practice Trust. All donations received and funds raised are used to provide equipment and services at the Medical Centre specifically for the benefit of patients.

They are registered charity and can claim back under the Gift Aid scheme the tax paid on all such personal donations ( provided of course that you pay some tax ). Please contact Peter J Bats, Chairman of the Friends and he will happily let you have an appropriate Gift Aid form, as the amount they are able to claim is significant.

Join Our Group

We would like to know how we can improve our service to you and how you perceive our surgery and staff.

To help us with this, we run a virtual patient representation group so that you can have your say. We ask the members of this representative group some questions from time to time, such as what you think about our opening times or the quality of the care or service you received. We will contact you via email and keep our surveys succinct so it shouldn’t take too much of your time.

We aim to gather from as broad a spectrum as possible to get a truly representative sample. We need young people, workers, retirees, people with long term conditions and people from non-British ethnic groups.

If you are happy for us to contact you occasionally by email please click the link on the image opposite to open the sign-up form and complete all the fields.
