Transport Link Service

The Henfield Medical Centre Link ( or The Link as it is generally known ) provides transport to the Medical Centre, local hospitals or dental surgeries if you have no transport means available to you. It is availabe for people in Henfield, Partridge Green and the surrounding villages. It is available to all local patients, whether within or outside NHS treatment.

The Link service is not a replacement for an ambulance. If you are happy to wait, you can call them to see if they have availability that day.

Ideally they would like at least 5 days’ notice for pre booked appointments. If you leave a message and do not receive a reply within 24 hours please contact anther coordinator on the list.

Patients are kindly asked to make a contribution towards the costs involved by placing the amount requested in the Medical Centre link envelope which the driver will provide.

Contributions requested to are currently £15 for hospitals in Worthing, Southlands, Brighton and Haywards Heath, £4 for Henfield Medical Centre and Henfield dentists, and appropriate amounts for other locations and longer journeys.

The Link is run independently but has the support of the Medical Centre. The coordinators operate from their own homes and organise volunteer drivers for each request. Please tell the coordinator if you would like to bring a companion or a walking frame with you, or if you need a wheelchair. Also if you have a blue disabled badge, please bring it with you.
